Dot product distributive law

WebI'm trying to prove that the dot product is distributive for coplanar vectors. I've taken a stab at it several times over the last few days which means I've had long breaks to allow my brain to flip it around subconsciously. But I haven't come up with any idea—no shower epiphanies. This bugs me because I know it should be easy to prove this. http://math.ups.edu/~martinj/calcphys/dotdistributive.html

Then →v ⋅ →w = 3, 4 ⋅ 1, − 2 = (3)(1) + (4)( − 2) = − 5. Note that the dot product takes two vectors and produces a scalar. For that reason, the quantity →v ⋅ →w is often called the scalar product of →v and →w. requested read of 4 bytes when 0 bytes remain https://heavenleeweddings.com
