As far as I know, this is the only program for Windows that can reprogram the EDID on the monitor using modern GPUs. Currently it only supports AMD/ATI and NVIDIA GPUs. I was able to modify the EDID on three displays: 1. WebbCustom Resolution Utility - CRU allows custom resolutions to be defined for both AMD/ATI and NVIDIA GPUs by creating EDID overrides directly in the registry without dealing with .inf files. CRU can now read extension blocks from connected monitors with AMD/ATI and NVIDIA. Workarounds are no longer required for NVIDIA. If your NVCP custom resolution utility is corrupted, if you 'test' any custom refresh rate successfully, it will suddenly start working perfectly again---until you reboot!
